LOCATION:  Southwest North Carolina

MANAGEMENT:  Crowders Mt State Park

HIGHLIGHTS:  Crowders Mountain (1,625 feet) is named for Ulrick Crowder, a German merchant who settled the area in the 1780's, and it is part of the Crowders Mountain State Park.  There are excellent views from rock outcroppings at the summit and the park is designated at a Natural Heritage Area.
